HELP ME OUT!!

Guys, I'm having a bit of a dilemma. I've been asked to write an article for my college magazine and I have no idea what to do it on. I currently have zero ideas and I'm having no inspiration.
My dad has tried to give me some ideas (like a film script, and some other stupid ideas about needed the loo..but I won't drag you into that). But a film script doesn't feel...collegey (if that's a word). It sounds like a perfect thing to write for RookieMag or something. I know what the college magazine want, they want boring dribble.
My mum also tried to throw a few ideas into the mix like a 'What to expect when you got to University Open Days' and I a little bit of sick went into my mouth. Writing that would be so dull and I couldn't make it good.

So this is just a short post to see if you guys could help me with some ideas!! (Right now I'm meant to be making notes for my English coursework on a feminist criticism of A Streetcar Named Desire - THE BEST PLAY EVER!!)

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE. Any ideas would be grand!!!!!!!

  1. here's a few off the top of my head, hope they help!
-rant...rant about something that annoys you (people's habits, transport, the government etc)
-argue...argue your point about something, maybe feminism or something you believe in
-talk about a situation you've been in! personal articles are always the best ones...write a piece on the most embarrassing thing that's ever happened to you or the best moment of your life.
-question something! write an article questions the ethics of something (e.g stem cell research or euthanasia), what something actually is (what actually is love? what actually is a memory? what is the point of life?!) question why people do things certain ways etc <3

  2. Hey, maybe comment about something in pop culture or current events. Alternatively, write something ABOUT college, not the academic bit but the LIFE bit like the parties, the social life, the anything. Besides that, maybe like a funny or entertaining thing that has happened to you since being in college?

  4. Thanks for the advice. I definitely need to write it all down and then choose what I can write the most about...sadly, I don't think I'll be able to write about homeschooling haha

  5. Think about something you're really passionate about and then see if there are any on going debates/moral dilemmas relating to that thing. For example I had to do an essay in media and I chose beauty standards because I'm interested in fashion. hope this helps, good luck! <3
